Tania

Tania

Kia Orana Matakana whānau! I am Tania, mostly known as T, and am the owner of Matakana Village Preschool. I received my bachelors in early childhood and have been in the industry for around 8 years. I grew up in the Cook Islands and have lived in the local community for 18 years. I believe that it is important for tamariki to learn in an environment where they feel at home and can express their interests. I feel that children should be the leaders of their own learning and be supported by their kaiako. In my spare time, I enjoy boating, exploring Aotearoa and making new fun adventures with my partner and our fur baby, Rosie.

Stiaan

Stiaan

Hi, I am Stiaan Conradie

My wife, daughter, and I emigrated to New Zealand from South Africa in 2009. There, I used to work in nature conservation, which had a strong component of environmental education to it. Once in New Zealand, I studied Early Childhood Education and have been teaching for more than a decade now.

To children, I believe learning is something that comes naturally, if they are interested and confident. Thus, I approach teaching as an opportunity to encourage exploration while following interest and facilitating opportunities for further discovery. In my personal time I enjoy bird watching, walking the dog with family and a good braai!

Kia Ora Matakana Village Whānau. I have 17 years of experience as a dedicated and caring nanny. I have cared for neuro-diverse kids in NZ and England.  As a mother,  I understand the importance of providing a nurturing, safe environment for children to grow and develop. In my spare time, I love to play tennis and spend time with my family, especially at the beach. I have been a part of the Matakana community for 4 years and love our slice of paradise up here!!!
